I believe that positive student-teacher relationships are important to the success of students. At a distance, I am able to build and maintain these relationships through positive, proactive communication and humour.

Assessment
I believe that students should understand how they will be assessed, be provided a variety of ways to demonstrate their understanding and receive timely feedback on their work. With a "It's not over 'til it's over" approach, I encourage and challenge students to continue practicing and provide opportunity to show their growth along the way.
I just wanted to email you to say thank you for teaching a great course. I had a lot of fun learning about physics, especially the modules about subatomic physics. It really widened my perspective on how important physics is to understanding the basic make-up of our world and what makes everything work the way it does. I will be taking Neuroscience in university in the fall, but if I were to change majors, I think I would go with Physics. Thank you for the time you spent helping me through this course and I appreciate your support through the pandemic as well. ~~ Physics 30 Student
