Edmonton Public Schools
Argyll Centre
October 2021 -present
I collaborated with a team of educators to develop and implement the asynchronous online Top Up Program, a pilot project for Edmonton Public Schools aimed at students who needed to retake Math 30-1, Math 30-2, and Math 10C. Utilizing data from previous interim reports and benchmark assessments, I design a tailored online program that addressed specific outcomes where students had previously struggled.
I support students asynchronously through my course website, providing comprehensive opportunities for both formative and summative assessments, and reassessments. I am available for assistance via Google Meet and email, ensuring continuous support and guidance.
From September 2024 to the present, I have also taught synchronous and asynchronous classes for Math 30-1 & Math 30-2.

September 2018 - June 2021
I provided instruction in Physics 30, Math 31, Math 10-C, Math 30-1, and Forensics 35, utilizing a variety of online tools to foster strong student-teacher relationships. Through a proactive communication system that included email, phone, instant messaging, and video conferences, I created a supportive environment where students felt comfortable discussing their educational challenges and any issues affecting their learning.
I effectively differentiated instruction to meet the needs of a group of diverse learners. I was able to quickly produce customized videos and visuals that enhanced student comprehension of complex concepts. I meticulously monitored student progress using Moodle, PASI, and the Genius Student Information System (SIS).
I served on the SIS Steering Committee, which included teachers, technical support staff, support staff, and administration. As a teacher liaison, I facilitated communication between the committee and educators, managed requests from teachers, and ensured their needs were represented during our monthly meetings. I also provided input on the system's functionality and prioritized enhancements based on teacher feedback, aiming to improve the overall effectiveness of SIS

Next Step Senior High School
September 2005 – February 2014
I provided instruction across various subjects including all levels of mathematics, physics, general sciences, art, Career and Technology Studies (CTS), and Career and Life Management (CALM). In an outreach school setting, I used a variety of teaching strategies, manipulatives, and technology to differentiate instruction and meet the diverse learning needs of students. I developed the art program at both the Fort Saskatchewan and Sherwood Park sites.
Courses were delivered in print using Alberta Distance Learning Centre resources or through my Moodle courses. These courses were enriched with additional online resources such as videos, links, quizzes, Java apps, e-texts, and assignments.
I delivered synchronous virtual instruction to at-risk students in the district, being the first teacher to engage with this vulnerable group online.
